Patrick Schwarzenegger announces his engagement to model Abby Champion

Actor Patrick Schwarzenegger has announced his engagement to model Abby Champion.

"💍❤️FOREVER AND EVER ❤️💍," the duo captioned a series of images showing off Champion's stunning double-diamond engagement ring and what seems to be an adorable beach proposal set up.

Celebrity friends and family flooded the comment section with a show of support for the couple.

"I can now die happy," wrote actor Taylor Lautner. 

The late Paul Walker's daughter, Meadow, also shared her congratulations with the pair.  

"Congratulations my love ❤️ I'm so happy for you two xx," she wrote. "Crying happy tears."

Schwarzenegger's mum, Maria Shriver, was one of the first to congratulate the duo, also sharing her own post to mark the occasion. 

"So this happened, and I'm beyond thrilled," she captioned an image of her son kissing his new fiance on the cheek.

"I'm beyond inspired. I'm beyond excited. @abbychampion and @patrickschwarzenegger make such a beautiful couple! 

"They love each other, they accept one another, they cheer one another on. They are each others best friend, confidante, and cheerleader. Their love is something to behold.

"I'm so happy for them, for their now, and for their future! Abby and Patrick, we all love you!"

The newly engaged couple were first romantically linked in September, 2015, however they didn't officially confirm their relationship until February 2016.

Champion took to Instagram to share a photo of the pair with their arms around each other and since then they have continued to share their relationship via social media. 

Last year, Schwarzenegger celebrated Champion's 25th birthday with an adorable post, "Happy 25th birthday @abbychamion," he wrote.

"Love this girl so much!! Such a hard worker. So beautiful. Faithful. Drinks 2 cups of coffee!. Loves ice cream. Loves her sugary cocktails. Loves Jesus & America too."

A few months later, Champion shared her own birthday tribute when Schwartznegger turned 29..

"Happy birthday patch @patrickschwartznegger," she wrote, "Love you so much."
