Pamela Anderson has revealed why she recently left Los Angeles and moved back to her native Canada.

The Baywatch star, 57, who was one of the biggest bombshells in the '90s, told Women's Wear Daily that it sort of feels like a "homecoming" for her.

Anderson, who is the ex of rocker Tommy Lee, said she made the move to reflect on her life, "remember who she was" and to ensure she wasn't being defined by anyone else anymore.

She told the publication: "I guess a homecoming, you could say, to really kind of look at my life and remember who I was – not what other people were telling me I was – and I didn't want anything that had happened to me define me."

"I wanted what I do to define me… all these realisations came to me in the rose garden."

About her recent career resurgence, she added: "So, this seems to be my time, so I'm embracing it."

She now has her own vegan skincare line named Sonsie.

Just last month, Anderson admitted that she struggled with her mental health for decades and battled depression.

"I am just happy to be here, in this moment, because I think I have had depression for a couple of decades," she told Variety while accepting the Golden Eye Award at the Zurich Film Festival.

"I look at it now and it feels like I went from Baywatch to Broadway. I don't know what happened in between, it's all a big blur," she explained.

Anderson said, however, she is "excited" to work more and is grateful for the award win.
