Aussie actress Alexandra Park engaged to One Tree Hill star James Lafferty

Aussie actress Alexandra Park is engaged to One Tree Hill star James Lafferty.

The happy couple shared the news via the actor's Instagram page on September 7, while also giving fans a glimpse of the engagement ring. 

"She said yeah," the 35-year-old actor captioned a photo of the couple embracing.

Park, 31, has yet to post about her engagement on Instagram but she did share a photo of a Palm Springs, California, backdrop around the same time, leading fans to believe Lafferty proposed in the desert oasis.

The Sydney-born actress rose to fame in the US after her three-year stint on the TV series, The Royals. Park played Princess Eleanor on the show about a fictional British monarchy, with Elizabeth Hurley playing Queen Helena, controversial wife of the King of England. 

"I was just a young Aussie trying to make it in the acting world. And when I heard that Elizabeth was someone they were considering [for The Royals], I was completely overwhelmed by that," Park told 9Honey Celebrity in 2018.

"But I had no reason to be because Elizabeth is completely down to earth and one of us. She's kind of driven the ship. She's been wonderful."

It's believed Park met Lafferty back in 2015 when he directed an episode of The Royals. The star went on to direct several more episodes and it's believed the couple grew closer during this time.

They continued to remain quiet about their relationship, but eventually went Instagram-official and red carpet-official in 2018 during an outing at the Monte-Carlo Television Festival in Monaco.
