According to a source, the pint-sized pop star was so confident he'd pop Selena's cherry, he flew her to Palm Springs to do so… then dished the deets to his mates.

The source told Radar Online: "It was in the summer of 2011. They flew to California for a couple of days and had a super private place to say."

The source then added: "The purpose of the trip was 100 percent because Selena finally said 'yes' to having sex with him. They agreed because they both said they were in love."

So why was Justin so cocky about the vacay? He told a pal: "I knew she was really in love with me when she gave me her virginity."
