'I don't think so': Nicole Kidman's anxieties around daughter's debut into the fashion world

She may be one of the world's best actresses, but to her daughter, she will always just be a nagging mum.

Nicole Kidman has opened up about Sunday Rose's recent runway debut with Miu Miu on October 1, during their Spring/Summer 2025 fashion show at Paris Fashion Week.

Kidman revealed that her 16-year-old daughter was the one leading the charge on her fashion debut, telling The Hollywood Reporter, "That's all driven by her. Me going, 'Oh no, I don't think so.'"

But while Kidman was like any other worried mum, Miuccia Prada, Miu Miu's founder and creative director, "just loved" Sunday Rose and wanted her as part of the show.

"Miuccia is so powerful as a woman. So that was a good match," the 57-year-old added.

The teen hit the runway wearing a chic white dress and long grey socks from the fashion house.

Kidman was there to watch her daughter's big moment and later reposted images of her walking in the fashion show to her millions of followers.

Every inch the proud mother, the Moulin Rouge star added love hearts to the post.

After the runway show, Sunday Rose and her mother attended the brand's official dinner party in Paris.

Kidman herself has had a long-standing relationship with the brand and it's founder.

"I sat with Miuccia recently in Italy and said, 'My gosh, I've known you since I was about 23.' I've been in this industry for a while," she said elsewhere in the Hollywood Reporter interview.

But Sunday Rose was so excited to be able to hit the runway for the brand and make her own mark in the fashion world.

"I've been wanting to do this for so long so when the offer came through it was really exciting," she told Vogue in a behind-the-scenes TikTok video posted on October 3.

"And now the day's finally here."

The actress shares daughter's Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, 13, with husband Keith Urban.

And while Kidman's daughters are starting to make names for themselves, her other kids have a more private life away from the spotlight.

She became a mum in 1993, when she and then-husband Tom Cruise adopted their daughter Bella.

The former couple went on to adopt their son Connor in 1995, shortly after his birth.

After the couple's divorce six years later, the children were believed to stay with their father in Los Angeles.

Both Bella and Connor keep low profiles, though both have been involved in creative fields.

Bella is a fashion designer, getting her start working for Holmes and Yang, the fashion line owned by Cruise's ex-wife and her ex-stepmother, Katie Holmes.

She later started her own line named BKC after her initials Bella Kidman Cruise in 2018, selling t-shirts with her own drawings on them.

Connor, 29, got his first taste of Hollywood fame starring alongside Will Smith in Seven Pounds, and later the 2012 film Red Dawn. He then switched to music, releasing his debut single in 2013 and playing DJ gigs.

Now he is an avid deep-sea fisherman and has his own barbecue business, Connor's Meatshack.
