Nicolas Cage, 58, and pregnant wife Riko Shibata, 26, hold hands as they attend movie premiere

Nicolas Cage proudly brought wife Riko Shibata as his date to the premiere of his new movie, The Unbearable Weight Of Massive Talent.

The Hollywood star, 58, doted on the pregnant 26-year-old at the New York screening on April 10, holding hands with her as they walked the red carpet together. Watch the trailer above.

In a previous interview, Cage revealed he had proposed to Shibata via FaceTime in August 2020 just months after they started dating, with the actor sending her engagement ring to Japan via FedEx. They were later married at the Wynn resort in Las Vegas in February 2021. 

They are now expecting their first baby together: a baby boy they hope to call Akira Francesco.

Cage has been married five times before and shares one son, Weston Coppola Cage, 31, with ex-girlfriend Christina Fulton and another son, Kal-El, with third wife Alice Kim.

But Cage believes he finally got it right this time with Shibata.

"I am a romantic, and when I'm in love, I want to give that person everything I can," the actor told British GQ just last month.

"It's my expression of saying, 'I love you. I want to spend the rest of my life with you.' And this is it for me. I mean, this is not happening again. This is it. This is it."
