Mac Miller arrested for DUI, hit and run

Mac Miller has been arrested for DUI and hit and run after colliding with an electrical pole.

The 26-year-old rapper was arrested Thursday around 1am local time in the San Fernando Valley just outside Los Angeles, according to TMZ.

Police said Miller (real name: Malcolm James McCormick) was driving when his 2016 Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUV struck an electrical pole, knocking it down.

Miller and two passengers allegedly fled the vehicle on foot, according to an eyewitness, who called police. Police arrived on scene and identified Miller's home address by his license plates. The 'My Favourite Part' rapper was arrested at his home an hour later.

The rapper's arrest comes just a week after sources claimed he and ex-girlfriend Ariana Grande had broken up.

The former couple took their romance public in August 2016.
