'Love Island UK' star Sophie Gradon's boyfriend, 25, reportedly found dead weeks after her shock passing

The boyfriend of former Love Island UK contestant Sophie Gradon, Aaron Armstrong, has reportedly been found dead just weeks after Gradon's own untimely death. He was 25.

The Sun reported his passing on July 10. A family source told the UK publication, "We're absolutely gutted. Heartbroken."

Police confirmed they responded to a home in Blyth, Northumbria at 12.20pm local time July 10 and discovered a body, although that person's identity was not immediately made public.

"At around 12.20pm today we received a report that a 25-year-old man had been found deceased at a property in Blyth," a police spokesperson said. "There is not believed to be any third party involvement and a report will now be prepared for the coroner." 

Armstrong discovered 32-year-old Gradon's body at her parents’ home near Newcastle on June 22. According to The Sun, the former reality star was believed to have had a history with depression. Her cause of death has yet to be released.

Following her passing, Armstrong had expressed tremendous grief on social media. Reportedly hours before his body was discovered, he posted a final Instagram tribute to Gradon.

"Just wish I could cuddle you all day. Miss you so much, man. Sophie not a minute goes by without your gorgeous smile being a picture in my mind. Every day we spent together was so amazing. I need them days back," he wrote. "I love you princess."

Last Friday, the day of her funeral in Jesmond, Newcastle, he posted that he loved Gradon "with all my heart."

He continued, "My beautiful angel, I'm absolutely heartbroken. I can't stop crying and I can feel your spirit in my soul. RIP Sophie Hannah Gradon."

The former couple's friends had believed they were soon planning to get married, The Sun reported. The couple regularly shared romantic Instagram tributes to each other while they were still together.

One of Gradon's final posts was a shot of them kissing, which she captioned, "I miss him..... He's only been gone a whole 4 hours."

Gradon appeared on Love Island UK in 2016.
