Here's when 'Love Island Australia' will start on TV

Guys, we finally have a premiere date for Love Island Australia.

Channel Nine have confirmed the highly-anticipated show will hit our screens on Sunday, May 27 at 8:30pm on 9Go! and 9Now.

The series will screen every night from Sunday to Thursday, and it will be filmed in Majorca, Spain, just 24 hours prior to screening.

Host Sophie Monk is bloody pumped.

"I'm super excited to get to Spain and see Love Island unfold," she says. "The cast are the hottest human beings I've ever seen in my life. I'm going to have to strap down my muffin top with a few pairs of spanx!"

While Sophie knows who will be looking for love in Majorca, the cast haven't met each other yet. They'll meet for the first time when they arrive on the island.

The concept is simple: The Love Island Australia singles will need to find their match and try to stay together while they're tempted with new arrivals. They also need to convince us, the public, that their love is ~pure~ and real.

We get quite a big say. We can download the Love Island Australia app and play Cupid, by deciding who hooks up and who splits up. We can save our favourite singles and ditch the ones we don't like. It's almost like being in Majorca ourselves! (Almost.)

The singles will compete as individuals, as a couple, or in teams, and will go head-to-head in a series of challenges to prove how well they know each other.

The winning couple, voted by us, will then be handed a pot of gold money so they can start their new lives together. Except there's a catch (of course!): One half of the couple will get to decide if they want to take the money all for themselves instead of sharing with their new partner. Rude!

We can't wait. Start ordering your snacks, cooling your wine and booking in your spray tans so you can feel like you're really part of the action.
