Lady Gaga's dog walker Ryan Fischer feels 'abandoned' as he calls for donations

Lady Gaga's dog walker Ryan Fischer is still healing from some trauma.

Fischer, who was shot during a walk with the pop star's dogs, has admitted to feeling "abandoned and unsupported" in his plea to fans.

"This is not an easy thing to ask," Fischer, 40, wrote on a crowdfunding page seeking US$40,000 (approx. $55,000).

He decided to take a six-month trip through the US as a "process of growing from trauma". However, he has recently run outs of funds after his van broke down.

"At times I was scared. I was lonely. I felt abandoned and unsupported. I had long bouts of depression and doubt and self-pity," he wrote.

"With no vehicle, apartment, and having run out of savings and surviving on donations from generous loved ones, I am humbly asking for your help."

In February, Fischer was shot by an assailant who stole two of Lady Gaga's dogs.

The dogs were eventually found tied to a pole and returned safely to the singer after she offered a US$500,000 (approx. $654,000) reward.

"I continue to love you Ryan Fischer, you risked your life to fight for our family," Gaga said at the time.

In April, the LAPD later arrested five suspects connected to the dognapping case.

Meanwhile, Fischer has escaped Hollywood and hopes to recover from the ordeal. He's asked for help from anyone aware of retreat centres, trauma programs, queer healers, creatives and spiritual leaders.
