In a long battle of Kylie vs. Kylie, pop star Kylie Minogue has come out on top, at least for now.

Minogue's legal team petitioned the US Patent and Trademark Office to block Kylie Jenner, 19, from staking claim to "Kylie" for her massive fashion and beauty brands. Jenner first filed to trademark the name Kylie back in 2014.

Daily Mail reports the letter argued that the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star was as "a secondary reality television personality" in comparison to Minogue, an "internationally-renowned performing artist, humanitarian and breast cancer activist known worldwide simply as Kylie."

The shade!

The Patent Office rejected Jenner's application last week. Jenner has filed an appeal, though, so it appears this rivalry isn't quite over.

Minogue's victory is a bit of a silver lining after a few tough days. The 'Love at First Sight' singer, 48, announced last week that she had ended her year-long engagement with British actor Joshua Sasse, 34.

The split was caused over Joshua's alleged affair with Spanish actress Marta Milans, 34.
