Kyle and Jackie O cold-call Deborra-lee Furness after her split with Hugh Jackman

KIIS FM stars Kyle Sandilands and Jackie 'O' Henderson awkwardly cold-called Deborra-lee Furness live on their radio show on Tuesday.

Sandilands, 52, made the call after finding out from a producer they had her number.

However, Sandilands was as respectful as ever to the actress, 67, and sent well wishes amid her shock split from Hugh Jackman after 27 years of marriage.

Furness took things in her stride and appeared in high spirits despite what's going on in her personal life, telling Sandilands with a laugh: "Oh, hey! How you doing?"

"Hi Deborra, it's Kyle and Jackie O, we have actually called you by mistake," Kyle explained.

"This is not a stitch up, we didn't mean to call you, but we won't go into it [the split], but we love you and hope you're well."

"Thank you guys, I really appreciate it, you're really sweet," she replied.

After telling the Halifax star to call them when she's ready to chat, Sandilands added that he didn't dare ask her about the split with Jackman, 54, out of respect.

"I'm not here to stich anyone up in the worst time of their life," Sandilands said after the call.

The Hollywood power couple announced their shock split on September 15.

They told People in a statement: "We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage."

"Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth."

The Australian powerhouses maintained their family will remain their "highest priority".

"We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness," the statement continued.

"We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives."

Signing off the devastating 76-word statement, they added, "This is the sole statement either of us will make."

According to Page Six, the former couple still "speak regularly" and plan to "navigate" their split together.

A source told the publication, "[Hugh has] spoken to Deb and they've seen each other."

"They speak pretty regularly."

"[Hugh and Deb] are always going to be friends and navigate this together. You just can't be married for 27 years, share two kids and suddenly stop speaking."

The pair met in 1996 on set of iconic Aussie TV drama Corelli, and had an "instant connection".

They married 11 months later on April 11, 1996, and went on to adopt and raise two children together, Oscar, now 23, and Ava, 18.

Jackman and Furness' last official public appearance together was at the Met Gala.
