Kyle Sandilands has revealed his one-year-old son's adorable first word on KIIS FM's The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

Sandilands told co-host Jackie O Henderson and former Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby that his son's first and only word so far has been "Dada".

"Otto's walking now. He says Dada only, much to his mum's horror because every time I walk into the room he says 'Dada', but he says no other words," the radio giant revealed.

While Henderson explained the "D" sound is actually easier for young kids to say, Kyle shut it down. "They say who they love the most, I think, first," he qupped.

The topic came up when Sandilands and Crosby were gushing over their children.

"Oh my God, doesn't it change your life." said Crosby.

"It is like every tiny thing that was so boring before is just so much fun again.

"Like I used to walk past the park past my house every day right, and I see some swings… well actually I never even realised there was a park there for so long and if I did, I wouldn't have thought anything of it.

"Ever since I had my little girl I look at the park every day… then when she's on the swings it feels like my very first time on the swings, all over again"

Sandilands and wife, Tegan Kynaston, welcomed their baby boy on August 11, 2022.

Sandilands got the news that Kynaston had gone into labour while live on air, and promptly walked out to be with her during delivery.

"Guys, I am broadcasting from home for a reason. And that reason seems to have raised its head now," Sandilands explained.

"I think I might have to leave the show and go to the hospital.

"Guys, I am so sorry. I feel very unprepared," he said. "[But] I've got to run. I don't want to seem like I'm abandoning you, but I need to be there for my child."

The Kyle and Jackie O Show's Intern Pete later caught up with Sandilands in the hospital car park after the birth, and returned to the show saying nothing could compare to the smile he saw on Sandilands' face.

"Otto is born, Otto is fabulous, I cut the cord, I didn't realise it was like tough calamari, and blood squirted out," Sandilands said.

Baby Otto has both his parents wrapped around his little fingers. In August, the couple threw Otto a "watered down" jungle-themed birthday bash amounting to a casual $25,000.

After exchanging stories on how their lives have changed since becoming parents, Crosby jokingly suggested that she and Sandilands set the two children up.

Henderson chimed in, backing up the idea by saying, "I feel like celebrities should arrange it, because the kids will understand each other, because they're kids of celebrities."
