Turns out, before they officially became a couple, the John Wick star collaborated with Grant, who is an artist, on a few projects over the years.
Their first known collaboration stemmed back to 2011 when Grant illustrated Reeves' first book, Ode to Happiness, a picture book that encourages adults not to take life too seriously. The pair reunited again in 2016 for Reeves' next offering Shadows, in which Grant snapped the star's silhouette in various rays of light while he provided poetic commentary.

"It seemed to me that the shadow was the perfect sort of physical manifestation of moving through darkness into light," Grant told W Magazine at the time. "I liked that idea of the meeting place between light and dark and two different people."

Then in 2017, they teamed up to become co-founders of X Artists' Books, a publishing house with a strong focus on publishing books that "don't really have a place because they're between genres," explained Grant, who met Reeves at a dinner party in LA in 2009.
"Some people are the kind of dreamers who have a lot of ideas but don't like to get things done. I think we both like to have the idea and get it into the world," she once told Los Angeles Magazine on their various collaborations.
