Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom cheer up sick children as Santa and Mrs Claus

No nude paddleboarding for Orlando Bloom this holiday season (we hope). Instead, he and Katy Perry have stepped into some new roles: Santa and Mrs Claus.

Fresh off their Halloween stint as Bill and Hillary Clinton, the 'Firework' singer, 32, and her boyfriend, 39, spread holiday cheer as they dressed up as the Christmas icons and spent time with patients at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. 

"Never naughty, always nice. The kids at CHLA received a much-deserved visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus ... who happen to look a lot like Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom!," the hospital's Facebook page captioned several photos of the couple.

Katy and the Hobbit franchise star are all smiles in the snaps, which show Orlando playing a drum for the families while laughing and cradling a young boy as he stands beside Katy and the toddler's mum.

"The children were nestled All safe in their beds (@orlandobloom's arms) While visions of sugarplums (@KatyPerry) danced in their heads," the hospital captioned the photo. 

Hmm...Katy Perry = sugarplums. #Sweet

In another photo, a young boy wearing a Batman onesie and using an oxygen tube reaches out to touch Orlando's face as he flashes a smile at him. Katy, meanwhile, chats with a patient in a wheelchair, who is wearing a Santa hat.

While the couple was there, they also joined families and sang Christmas carols, handed out gifts, and were happy to pose together for photos with the children there.

They also visited children who were too sick to leave their beds, and performed duets for them too.

"Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom came and sang us Christmas carols. It was so beautiful," mum Kaitlin Bell captioned an Instagram photo of herself and her baby son Mason posing with Katy and Orlando. "I'm so very thankful we got news we get to go home tomorrow."

'Tis the season indeed.
