Katy Perry calls Justin Trudeau ‘the love of my life’ in major public declaration

Katy Perry is loudly singing the praises of her boyfriend Justin Trudeau.

The Teenage Dream singer, 41, and the former Canadian prime minister, 54, made their red carpet debut at the premiere of her new concert film, with her calling him “the love of my life” during an on-stage Q&A session.

The pop star gushed over her relationship in front of fans as she provided insight into her life during her recent Lifetimes tour.

“I would say now, at the end of 91 shows, I feel like a more grounded person in so many aspects of my life. I am very in love,” Perry said.

The concert film, The Lifetimes Tour – Live from Paris, is a complete recording of her November 2025 show in the French capital, which came at a happy time for Perry.

“Actually, that show was after I met the love of my life, and so I felt very anchored by that,” she said.

“I’m a little bit like a rainbow kite – I fly super high. Sometimes I need to be anchored, so to have that anchor finally makes me feel really whole now.”

It was a great end to a year that was otherwise tough.

Before meeting Trudeau, Perry split from longtime fiancé Orlando Bloom after nine years together. They share five-year-old daughter Daisy.

“Last year was probably one of the hardest years of my life and I went through a f---ton,” she said.

“And there were days that were really, really, really hard, and I just kept going because I made a promise to my fans, I made a promise to my daughter, I made a promise to myself, and I got through it.

“I walked through the fire because everybody has to walk through their own fire. And if you’re walking through hell, you keep going, because on the other side of hell is definitely heaven.”

Perry and Bloom called off their engagement in June 2025.

Perry and Trudeau’s relationship first grabbed headlines in July 2025 when TMZ published photos of them dining at a swanky restaurant in Montreal, before photos of them canoodling on Perry’s yacht came out months later in October.

They hard launched on social media in December and had shared glimpses at their relationship online before making their red-carpet debut this week after almost a year of dating.
