Kate Hudson shows off matching buzz cut with son Ryder, and the resemblance is uncanny

Kate Hudson finally gave her fans a clear shot of her buzzed-off, naturally brunette hair, sporting a matching style with son Ryder, 13. On September 12, the 38-year-old actress posted a snap of herself with his arm lovingly draped around her shoulder to Instagram. Mum wore a black turtleneck and beaded chandelier earrings as she and her mini-me enjoyed a quiet moment at home.



The candid snap was a rare look at her buzz cut in full view. Previously, the A-lister kept it concealed under a straw fedora or carefully cropped out in photos.



Her October cover for Cosmopolitan magazine appeared to have been shot before her dramatic makeover.



The Almost Famous star shaved off her signature blonde locks for a new film project with Sia. The forthcoming film is reportedly based off a one-page short story written by the 'Elastic Heart' singer. The film also stars teen Dance Moms alum and frequent Sia collaborator Maddie Ziegler, 14.

On getting to know "beautiful person" Sia, Kate told Cosmo: "No matter what, I will always have a lifelong friend in her."
