Jude Law reflects on a bizarre behind-the-scenes moment from The Holiday
Jude Law has revealed a bizarre truth about the filming of The Holiday.
In a new interview with Vanity Fair, Law reflected on filming the iconic holiday movie, looking back on one scene in particular.
The actor shared that the closing scene in which we see him and his co-stars dancing around the living room, wasn't actually as seamless as it appeared.

"There were obviously moments that the kids were there with us," he told the publication as he watched a clip of him and Cameron Diaz dancing and shushing the kids.
"I remember there being big sections of this scene that the children weren't around," he recalled. "So, we were having to respond as if the kids were doing something."
"Us watching Kate [Winslet] and Jack [Black] kind of kiss and cuddle, Nancy [Meyers] would say, 'oh the kids might kind of be making fun of that'.
"So us responding, kind of [shushing], all of that, we're pretending the kids are in the room," he added.

He said that he and Diaz had to pretend to react to the kids without them being there. Columbia Pictures
He went on to reflect on how much he enjoyed being on set and filming the now cult classic movie alongside his castmates, Diaz, Kate Winslet and Jack Black.
"I just remember this being so much fun," said Law. "This is just fooling around to music, you know, and pretending you're having a great time. Well, you are having a great time."

The Holiday was released almost two decades ago now, on December 26, 2006.
Law said that before filming, director Nancy Meyers spoke a lot about classic romantic comedies, adding that he believes those kinds of films can really have an effect on people.
"I'm thrilled that I'm in something people go back to time and time again," he shared. "The number of films I've made, not a lot of them have had that response."
