Joe Manganiello has spoken out about his highly-publicised split from Sofía Vergara
The Magic Mike star, 47, shot down claims the pair split after they clashed over having kids, after Vergara, 52, said during an interview that Manganiello "wanted to have kids and I didn't want to be an old mum".
Speaking to Men's Journal, the actor said: "That's simply not true".

Manganiello said their split happened after "two people grew apart".
"We did try to have a family for the first year and a half. And we had a huge conversation right out of the gate during the first month we dated," he said about their plans for children.
"And I swore to her that I would never leave if it didn't work out. And I didn't."

Modern Family star Vergara previously told El Pais: "My marriage broke up because my husband was younger; he wanted to have kids and I didn't want to be an old mum."
"I feel it's not fair to the baby. I respect whoever does it, but that's not for me anymore."
"So, if love comes along, he has to come with [his own] children."
She said she's ready to become a grandmother, saying: "I'm almost in menopause; it's the natural way of things.

"When my son becomes a dad, let him bring the baby to me for a while and then I'll give it back to him and go on with my life; that's what I have to do."
She is mother to son Manolo, who is 32. Since their divorce, the former couple have both moved on with new partners.
