Here's how celebrities are reacting to the news.
Lopez's ex-fiancé Alex Rodriguez — a former Yankee — seemingly addressed the photos of the pair. He said "Go Yankees" when asked about the rumours in a video obtained by Page Six.
Rodriguez's comment is possibly a dig at Affleck who is known for being a big Boston Red Sox fan. Affleck had previously shut down the production of his movie Gone Girl production when the director wanted his character to wear a Yankees hat and Affleck refused. They eventually settled for a New York Mets cap

Sharon Stone responded to Collins' tweet, "Yeah I mean WTF A-Rod?"
Actress Bette Midler responded to the rumours on Twitter writing, "#BenAffleck & #JenniferLopez might be back together? Aww. That's nice, but I was hoping that if we could bring anything back from the early 2000's it would be my pelvic floor muscles."
Meanwhile, Affleck's longtime pal Matt Damon said he'd be overjoyed if the pair got back together.
"There's not enough liquor in the world for you to get me to say something about that," Damon told US Today on May 11 from a TAB in an Australian pub, telling the hosts it was "the first time I heard about it."
"It's a fascinating story," the actor said. "I hope it's true. I love them both… That would be awesome."

Kevin Smith who was the director of the movie Jersey Girl (2004) chimed in by saying he penned the nickname "Bennifer." Affleck and Lopez both starred in the film.
"It's a name I first gave the kids during 'Jersey Girl' pre-production, before the world found out they were dating," he wrote via Twitter. "I'd later drop the name in an interview with the @nytimes. Shortly thereafter, it appeared in the article and then entered the vernacular."
Stranger Things star Matthew Modine wrote, "Love is blind #Bennifer."
The Hills star Spencer Pratt wrote, "I had zero interest in any celebrity couples in 2002 (other than Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake), so I missed the Bennifer train. I'm happy to announce, however, that I'm fully on board in 2021."
