Bennifer reunite in Los Angeles after Ben Affleck spent time bonding with Jennifer Lopez's mum

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have reunited again in Los Angeles after a brief period spent apart.

The 51-year-old songstress-actress-mogul reunited with her 48-year-old actor flame on Friday, a source told People.

Affleck was seen spending time with Lopez's 76-year-old mother, Guadalupe Rodríguez, in Las Vegas earlier this week.

The Justice League star was directing an undisclosed project, which features Rodríguez in a cameo capacity.

"In the past, Jennifer's mom and Ben were very close," a source told People.

"Guadalupe loved Ben. She was sad when they couldn't work things out years ago. She is thrilled that they are back together now."

"Jennifer is very close with her mom. It's very important to her that the person she is with, gets along with her mom," the source continued.

"Jennifer loves that Ben and Guadalupe hung out in Las Vegas. They both love gambling and had fun together at the Wynn hotel."

Prior to reuniting together on Friday, Lopez was filming a music video in Miami Beach.

Bennifer's renaissance was first rumoured to have started in late April, after Lopez's split from ex-fiancé Alex Rodriguez.

The duo have since enjoyed a getaway together in Montana, and have been spotted out and about together around Los Angeles, which is Affleck's home base, and Miami, where Lopez lives.

"Jen and Ben are both very happy with each [other] and are excited to see where the relationship goes," a source told US Weekly recently.

"They are full-on dating and very happy together."

Lopez and Affleck met on the set of critically-panned Gigli, and were engaged in 2002.

Days before they were set to walk down the aisle in 2003, they postponed their wedding before calling it quits for good in January 2004 — until now.

In the interim, Lopez married singer Marc Anthony and was engaged to Alez Rodriguez.
