Jennifer Lawrence says she got 'stoned' with her Hunger Games co-stars after attending the film's premieres
Jennifer Lawrence has made a surprising recollection of her time on the set of her breakout movie The Hunger Games.
The actress opened up about the franchise in a wide-ranging profile with The New York Times, in which she remembered how the cast would unwind between premieres and press events.
"The boys and I would always go back to our hotel and just drink whiskey and get stoned," the 32-year-old star told the publication.

Although Lawrence did not reveal who she would "get stoned" with, her two main costars in the franchise were Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson.
"My mother-in-law's going to love this. I don't do it anymore, I'm a mum!" laughed Lawrence, who is now married to art gallery director Cooke Maroney, who is the father of her eight-month-old son, Cy.

Lawrence noted that the promotional trail for the four-part franchise, which spanned from 2012 to 2015, was intense, but she doesn't playing the leading lady in the original and its sequels Catching Fire, Mockingjay – Part 1 and Mockingjay – Part 2.
"Those movies were fantastic," she said. "The only thing that gave me pause was just how famous it would make me."

It seems Lawrence may have dabbled in recreational drugs while filming her 2021 movie Don't Look Up.
The actress was given permission by director Adam McKay to smoke weed as her character in the film, astronomer Dr. Kate Dibiasky, has a fondness for weed. In the scene with Meryl Streep, Lawrence had no lines of dialogue so McKay gave her the green light.

"So Jen was like, 'Are you gonna throw me some improv?,' which we always do," McKay told Entertainment Weekly. "And I was like, 'No, you can get high.'"
After the scene, Lawrence said she had to deal with some ribbing from the crew.
"I was a real target," she said. "Everyone was f---ing with me… I guess because I was high. Easy to f--- with."
