Yesterday a range of A-list celebs joined comedian Dane Cook for a reenactment of the 1982 classic film Fast Times at Ridgemont High, but it was Jennifer Aniston who went above and beyond.

Stars who joined in the virtual table read included Aniston, Brad Pitt, John Legend, Jimmy Kimmel, John Legend, Ray Liotta, Julia Roberts, Shia LaBeouf, Morgan Freeman and Henry Golding.

While many people focused on the reunion of ex-spouses Pitt and Aniston, the Friends actress stole the show with her outfit choice during a key scene.

Aniston was reading the role of popular girl Linda Barrett, originally played by actress Phoebe Cates. The movie's now-iconic poolside scene featured Cates wearing a skimpy red bikini that helped turn her into a star. When it came time to read through the scene on Zoom, Aniston removed her jacket to reveal a near-identical red bikini –– layered over a white singlet.

It just got funnier from there –– Pitt played the role of Brad Hamilton, who has a sexual fantasy about Barrett getting out of the pool in her red bikini. Needless to say, it made for a hilarious and slightly awkward sexually-charged scene between the two exes.

The table reading was a charity event organised by comedian Dane Cook, raising money for coronavirus relief efforts and for actor Sean Penn's nonprofit CORE (Community Organised Relief Effort) and REFORM Alliance.

Cook says he wanted to organise a fun event during a year when so many entertainment events and celebrations had been cancelled.

"I threw out a bunch of names originally, and was fortunate enough to get a couple of those names pretty quickly," the comedian told People.

"I mean, Jennifer Aniston was lovely and was so gun-ho. Julia Roberts came in within that first week or two, and within 10 days, I knew that this could go the distance."

Cook explained: "In terms of casting and how we wanted it to come together, there's some expectation of what kind of person should be playing this role or that role, but truly it was about, let's really try to break up the diversity, and let's be unexpected."

"You know, a live read is a celebration of the written story."
