Former adult film star Jenna Jameson still in hospital battling mystery illness one month on

Former adult film star Jenna Jameson is still in hospital one month after being admitted with a mystery illness.

The 47-year-old has been a patient at a Hawaii hospital since early January as doctors try to determine what caused her sudden inability to walk.

This week, Jameson still did not have answers, but assured fans she was in good hands.

"Hey you guys. So I am still in the hospital, but I'm doing okay and I'll be out soon," she said on her Instagram Story while blowing a kiss for the camera. Watch the video above.

Jameson was initially misdiagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome, a neurological disorder where one's immune system attacks the nervous system, which may cause muscle weakness and paralysis. Additional neurological tests showed she did not have the rare disease. 

It was Jameson's husband, Lior Britton, who first rushed her to hospital on January 5 after the star had been "throwing up for a couple weeks" before she losing feeling in her legs.

"Her muscles in her legs were very weak. So she wasn't able to walk to the bathroom," he said in an Instagram Story at the time. "She was falling on the way back or to the bathroom, I would have to pick her up and carry her to bed. And then within two days it go really not so good, her legs started to not hold her, she wasn't able to walk."

Britton said his partner has since had to undergo infusion treatments while in hospital, and has started physical therapy.

"She's doing physical therapy to try and stand on her legs, but at the moment she cannot stand on her legs," he said last month in a follow-up message. "They're starting the treatment so they'll see how it goes. So keep praying."

Jameson herself has thanked fans for their support, saying in a previous Instagram video: "I just wanted to let you know that I see all your DM's and I appreciate it so much. We're just working towards getting better."
