Hugh Jackman explains why he's been checking on Ryan Reynolds' wife Blake Lively
Hugh Jackman is always looking out for Blake Lively.
The X-Men star, 51, continued his long-running feud with Lively's husband, Ryan Reynolds, in a virtual appearance on Tuesday, August 18 with Good Morning America.
Their friendly banter was brought up while discussing Jackman's recent Emmy nomination for his role in Bad Education. In July, Reynolds congratulated Jackman while still managing to poke a bit of fun, adding that he didn't deserve it. Jackman hit back and suggested the Deadpool star was a bit jealous.

GMA's host Michael Strahan asked Jackman if he had checked in on Reynolds recently, to which he answered, "I check on Blake all the time. I just can't imagine what this whole isolation has been like. I mean, really, that's months in the same house with Ryan. So, I check on her all the time. She really really appreciates that. I think it's been very difficult for her."
"It's sort of like big brother, little brother and so I just keep trying to take the high road all the time,' Jackman continued. "It's very difficult. It's draining. I'm trying to teach him, but, you know, he won't listen."

Although the duo agreed to temporarily end their fictional feud back in April, it looks like it's not quite over.
Jackman also spoke about Reynolds' reaction to his Emmy nomination during an episode of E! News' Daily Pop, noting he got "lots of texts from everyone" but "nothing from Ryan."
"But Blake… Hang on, I'm just reading it now," he teased, then pretending to read a text from Lively. "'He's devastated. He says he's not getting out of bed for three days. This is the greatest gift you've ever given me.'"
