Hilary Duff reveals her daughter was diagnosed with hand, foot and mouth disease
Hilary Duff's youngest child Mae is suffering from hand, foot and mouth disease, the star revealed on Instagram.
"That looks awful," she said, about the rash her 16-month-old Mae had as a result of the sickness. "None of my other kids have ever had hand, foot [and] mouth, so I've never it seen before," Duff said on her Instagram Story.
"I haven't been able to be with her all day because I'm at work," she revealed.

Hand, foot and mouth disease is a mild and contagious viral infection that can cause mouth sores and a rash on hands and feet. It's common in kids under 5 years old –though anyone can get it.

That means that Duff has to stay away from her daughter, as she's currently filming the upcoming second season of How I Met Your Father. "I'm sitting here feeling sorry for myself," she revealed.
"I love my job so much but this is just a little shoutout to working parents who have to leave their kids in times that don't feel natural," Duff said. "And it kinda like goes against everything in their body to not be with them in times like that."

But the star knows that she's making the right choice: "I know I'm doing a good job and working hard for my family."
Duff shares two kids with her husband Matt Koma: Mae, and three-year-old Banks. She also has a ten-year-old son from her previous relationship with Mike Comrie.
