Halle Berry says her kids are 'on their own' if they ever want to go into Hollywood: 'I had no nepotism'

Halle Berry is refusing to take part in one of Hollywood's biggest trends.

In a new interview with People, Berry shared that if her kids one day decide that they want to go into showbusiness, they're on their own.

The Union actress told the publication if her kids decided to follow in her footsteps she would "tell them to do it the way I did it."

"I had no nepotism. Nobody helped me. I had to learn from the ground up," Berry explained. "They would have to do it the same way.

"They would have to go pay their dues, learn a craft, work hard, and make it on their own for themselves.

"That way it's always theirs. Nobody takes it away. That's what they would have to do."

The Catwoman actress shares 16-year-old daughter Nahla with her ex-husband Oliver Martinez and 10-year-old sn Maceo-Robert with ex Grabirel Aubryalso.

But despite her refusal to help her kids step into the spotlight, she does the get the occasional "cool points" for working in Hollywood.

"Well, I got cool points when I introduced my daughter to Mark [Wahlberg], because she loves Daddy's Home," Berry told People.

"That's one of her favorite movies. So when I got to introduce her to Mark, I think it was the first time in my whole career where she said 'Oh, you know Mark Wahlberg? Okay you're cool'."

Berry and Wahlberg star together in new film The Union.

The actress added that meeting Wahlberg prompted her daughter to call her "cool" for the very first time.

"I've met some really amazing people," Berry added. "But she happened to be a big fan of his."
