Gwen Stefani's marriage to Gavin Rossdale 'annulled' by Catholic Church following Blake Shelton engagement
Gwen Stefani is free to marry fiancé Blake Shelton inside a church after she was reportedly granted an annulment.
The singer apparently applied to have her 14-year marriage to rocker Gavin Rossdale annulled, and according to Us Weekly, her request was recently approved by the Catholic Church.
"Gwen was told the decision was made by the Vatican tribunal," a source said. "She will be receiving the notification in writing in the next few weeks, but it's official."

It's believed 51-year-old Stefani — who was raised Catholic — began the annulment process in March last year because it has always been her dream to remarry in a Catholic church with a priest officiating.
"It was a huge relief for Gwen because she wanted to get married by her priest and have the marriage recognised by the Catholic church," the source explained.
In December last year, Shelton, 44, reportedly built Stefani — his girlfriend since 2015 — a chapel on the grounds of his Oklahoma ranch, and it's believed this is where the ceremony will take place later this year.

Stefani and 55-year-old Rossdale were married back in 2002 at St. Paul's Cathedral in Covent Garden, London, where the rocker is from.
Two weeks after the extravagant affair, they hosted a vow renewal in LA for friends who couldn't attend ceremony across the pond.
The couple welcomed three sons during their marriage: Kingston, 14, Zuma, 12, and Apollo, six. They separated in 2015 and were officially divorced the following year.

Stefani and Shelton were engaged last October after he popped the question at his ranch.
"Hey @gwenstefani thanks for saving my 2020... And the rest of my life," he announced on Instagram. "I love you. I heard a YES!"
