Frankie Muniz gets engaged after an absolutely heartbreaking week

Frankie Muniz has proposed to his partner, Paige Price.

Price shared the news on November 20, in a sweet Instagram post with photos capturing the moment the former Malcolm in the Middle star popped the question.

"When you're a little girl, you dream of marrying the man of your dreams," she began, captioning the photos. "You think of all these extravagant things from the way he asks you, to the dress you're going to wear, to the music you're going to dance to with your father."

According to Price, 32-year-old Muniz nailed the proposal.

Sometimes, reality has a tendency to overstep your dreams and really surprise you," she continued. "Francisco Muniz IV, you're more than a dream to me. You teach me every day, you compliment me when I'm at my worst, and you push me past the edge but you're there to pick me up when I start showing signs of falling.

"I love every piece of you, and I appreciate you more and more every single day. I truly cannot wait to be your wife ♥️ P.S. You're officially the master of proposals."

The news comes after a tough week for Muniz, who recently lost his uncle and had his home destroyed due to flooding.

"I arrived home from my uncle's funeral to find 4 of my 5 story brownstone home under 3 feet of water," he tweeted on November 15. "Everything I own, destroyed. Every wall, piece of artwork, personal photos, furniture. All because my cat accidentally turned on a sink a few days ago while we were gone."

Muniz continued: "I'm devastated and exhausted from a tough week with the loss of my Uncle Skip, 45 hours of travel to and from France to walk in to find this disaster. I've cried more yesterday and today then my whole life combined. Forgive me for venting... I just need some support."

Later he told his fans they "wouldn't believe the destruction," adding, "I know this sounds ridiculous, but I swear it's true."

This is the culprit, by the way.

The actor publicly thanked his future wife for her support during the difficult time.

"Thank God I have @paigey_price to help me get through this," he tweeted. "I'd be lost without her. She's so strong and exactly what I need."

Last year, Muniz opened up about his memory loss which he said was a result of suffering from transient ischemic attacks (TIA) -- otherwise known as ministrokes.

The actor believes the TIA -- which temporarily cut off blood circulation to the brain -- have contributed to his memory loss.

"It makes me a little sad," Muniz said on camera, while appearing on the US version of Dancing with the Stars. "Things pop back into my mind [that] I should have remembered. I should have remembered going to Australia. That's something people remember."

Muniz said Price was supporting him by keeping a journal of events to try and help Frankie with his memory.

"I get sad of the thought of losing the memory because I know that I do, so she writes literally in detail," he explained. "She's a writer, a journal so I can look at any day and it does bring me back. She's very supportive."
