Phew! Gavin Rossdale refuses to snatch half of Gwen Stefani's fortune in divorce settlement
Listen closely. Hear that sound? It's Gwen Stefani breathing a huge sigh of relief that she's walking away from her marriage to Gavin Rossdale with her finances mostly intact.
Gwen, 46, and Gavin, 50, have reached a divorce settlement, and although he was entitled to half of his ex's multi-million dollar fortune, he's getting significantly less because, well, that's all he wanted.
According to TMZ, despite the couple not having a prenuptial agreement, Gavin did not go after anything approaching what he was legally entitled to.
Sources say Gwen will retain the majority of their property, and while they will share 50/50 custody of their three sons (Kingston, nine, Zuma, seven, and Apollo, 20 months), Gavin has not asked for spousal support.
Considering that superstar Gwen earns considerably more money than rocker Gavin, that's a huge win…and she didn't even have to put up a fight.
Of course, the battle scars of their marriage will no doubt remain. The couple announced they were divorcing last August, reportedly because of Gavin's alleged affair with their children's nanny Mindy Mann.
Since then, Gwen has moved on with country singer Blake Shelton, 39, her fellow coach on The Voice US.
Now that she's almost legally single, will a second marriage be in her future? Rumours are rising, and if it happens, she'll have plenty of cash to throw the wedding of the century.
