Emma Watson accused of using Alan Rickman RIP tweet to further feminist agenda

The internet is in an uproar again. This time tweeters are griping about how a certain former Harry Potter star has chosen to express her grief over the death of a beloved co-star.

Emma Watson, 25, has enraged Twitter's #RIP police with a tweet she sent in honour of Alan Rickman, who died January 14 at age 69 after battling cancer.

The detractors felt the tweet, which included a photo of the actor next to one of his pro-feminism quotes, made his death all about the feminist agenda.

Some were sympathetic and supported Emma, who had posted and retweeted a number of tributes to her late co-star. Others weren't so kind.

Oh, tweeters, let's cut the poor lady some slack. It's not as if it was the only tweet she sent to commemorate the life of her colleague and friend. And if Alan was feminist enough to say those words while he was still living, chances are he wouldn't have objected to having them repeated after his death.

And considering that she's a popular movie actress, it's not like Emma doesn't already have plenty of opportunities to push any personal agenda, feminist or otherwise. Watch below.
