Felicity Huffman and William H Macy's daughter, Sophia, cast in The Twilight Zone
Just three months after actress Felicity Huffman served jail time for her involvement in the college admissions scandal, her daughter Sophia Macy has landed an acting role in a major television show.
The 19-year-old has been cast in Season 2 of The Twilight Zone, and will appear in the 'Among The Untrodden' episode of the rebooted anthology series.
Following CBS' announcement, Macy gushed about the new gig on Instagram.
"Been wanting to talk about this for a minute. I'm so, so grateful," she said, tagging fellow newcomer to the series, Abbie Hern. "Abbie, I love you and I love acting with you."
Macy is clearly following in her parents' professional footsteps, with her mum most famous for her role in Desperate Housewives and her father, William H Macy, who's scooped a plethora of awards and nominations for his roles over the years, including in hit shows, Shameless and ER.
The announcement comes after Huffman served an 11-day sentence in a federal Californian prison for allegedly paying $22,000 to have admissions consultant Rick Singer boost the teenager's SAT scores.
The 56-year-old pleaded guilty to the charges after her March 2019 arrest, and was sentenced in September.
In addition to the jail time, Huffman had to pay $44,000 fine, complete 250 hours of community service and has a year's supervision.

The actress is said to be serving out her community service by tutoring at Teen Project, a rehab facility that assists girls who've lives on the streets and are trying to pass their high school certificates.
