Nsync's Lance Bass has opened up about his decision to air his wedding to artist Michael Turchin, in what will be the first televised celebrity gay wedding in America.
The couple, who got hitched at the Park Plaza in Los Angeles in December, had the cameras running the whole time…in a bid to break down those barriers about gay marriage.
However, Lance, 35, told TheFIX that both his and Michael's parents had aired their concerns about the TV special set to air next month.
Lance explained: "We let them [his parents] knew it was all about the love story. It was something very special and it's the first time people are seeing a wedding like this. And it needs to be taken care of very delicately and show that love story. There's a lot of humour and a lot of love."
Michael added: "They didn't want the wedding to be a spectacle on TV for people to pick at. So we had to ensure them that wouldn't happen."
The upcoming reality special Lance Loves Michael: The Lance Bass Wedding will let fans see the couple's journey to their big day and the rather extravagant wedding. Yep, it's going to be a jaw dropper.
And Lance revealed that if former bandmate Justin Timberlake's wife Jessica Biel had anything to do with planning, the wedding party would all be wearing onsies.
He explains: "Onsies are kind of our thing and she had this really good suggestion to give out onsies at the wedding and then everyone could change into them at midnight. But we didn't get around to that."
Hmm, well we can see why!
And it would appear it's quick moving for the couple, with Lance - who came out in 2010 - also revealing to TheFIX that they're looking into having children.
Lance said: "We definitely want children."
First come marriage and then comes babies, people.
Lance Loves Michael will premiere on E! Feb. 5 at 8 p.m.
