EXCLUSIVE: Jesinta Campbell opens up about 'heartbreaking' <i>Getaway</i> trip...and whether she's ready for kids

It's not all about luxe hotels and white sandy beaches for Getaway reporter Jesinta Campbell, whose latest trip on the Nine travel show struck a chord much closer to home.
On this week's episode, the 23-year-old model-presenter was brought to tears after visiting The Mercy Centre for orphaned children in the slums of Bangkok. TheFIX spoke to Jesinta about her "heartbreaking" but "magical" trip.
"I was so blessed I grew up with both of my parents and had their love and their care until I was 18 years old and ready to go out into the world and do my own thing, but these children don't even have that," Jesinta tells TheFIX.
"Even just watching the footage when I was doing my voiceovers, my producer and I were both in tears in the edit suite because it brought back so many beautiful memories. Just to see those smiling faces of those children... they give back so much more to you than you give to them when you're there."
It's Jesinta's second trip to a Thai orphanage after she visited one in Phuket earlier in the year, which resulted in her and boyfriend, Sydney Swans AFL player Lance "Buddy" Franklin, sponsoring a boy named Sky.
"This [trip] was more full-on because I was there for a longer period of time," Jesinta says. "I got to know the children a little bit... I tried to put my heart into that story."
But we'll have to wait a while until we get to see a mini Jesinta or Buddy.
"I absolutely love children," she says. "And I do want to have a family one day but it's definitely not in my immediate future. I've got too much to do at the moment, our lives are very busy."
Jesinta adds that she hasn't "put much thought into" how many kids she wants but she'd "probably just like to start with one!"
