Eva Longoria still has a 'strong connection' with costar Felicity Huffman: 'She's amazing'

Felicity Huffman was noticeably absent from the Desperate Housewives reunion, which aired on Sunday night on Stars in The House — a daily online mini-show hosted by SiriusXM's Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley.

Three of the show's most well known stars did not take part in the reunion: Terri Hatcher, Nicollette Sheridan and Huffman — who played Lynette Scavo. However, Huffman's co-stars were quick to praise the 57-year-old's talent.

Discussing Lynette's storyline when she had cancer in the series, Marcia Cross, who played Bree Van de Kamp, said "I just feel like Felicity Huffman is a flipping genius. An unbelievable actress!"

"I actually remember doing that scene once it came up — I forget everything until I'm watching," Cross continued.

Eva Longoria, who played Gabrielle Solis, also reflected on Huffman's outstanding acting: "When Felicity had this storyline, she sunk her teeth into it — she had so many questions…she's the 'acteur.'"

"I would just be watching her and I would forget my lines because she was so amazing…Felicity and I have such a strong connection… we've all created these lasting friendships," said Longoria.

Huffman likely didn't appear in the reunion show due to her 11 day jail sentence in October 2019, for her involvement in the college admissions bribery scandal. She is still completing mandatory community service.

Huffman received two Emmy nominations for her role on Desperate Housewives, winning the Primetime Emmy Award in 2005.
