The Ellen DeGeneres Show has suspended production during the ongoing coronavirus threat.

Host Ellen DeGeneres revealed via Twitter the talk show won't be shooting again until the end of March.

"Hey there. Me again," she began her tweet.

"So, after some more thought, we have decided to suspend production completely until March 30th.

"We just want to take every precaution to ensure that we do our part to keep everyone healthy. I love you guys, and can't wait to come back. I'm already bored."

The tweet comes just hours after DeGeneres had announced the show would continue shooting, just without studio audiences.

"I have some news. For now, I'll be shooting my show with no studio audience," she wrote.

Ellen DeGeneres has sent her congratulations.

"To everyone who was looking forward to coming, I'm so sorry. But I'm doing this for the health of my fans, my staff and my crew."

DeGeneres finished the tweet on a lighter note adding, "It has nothing to do with a warrant for my arrest in the state of Florida."

Other talk shows are also on hiatus or filming without a live studio audience due to the pandemic, including The Late Late Show with James Corden, Late Night with Seth Meyer and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
