Drake confirms he secretly fathered a son on new album 'Scorpion'

Drake has confirmed rumours that he secretly fathered a son, among other personal revelations on his long-awaited new album Scorpion.

The 31-year-old Canadian rapper acknowledged his newborn child in several tracks including 'Emotionless' and 'March 14.' Among the revelations, Drake raps, "I wasn't hiding my kid from the world, I was hiding the world from my kid," "Kiss my son on the forehead," and "The kid is mine."

Drake recently feuded with rapper Pusha T, who accused him of hiding a son named Adonis. The child's mother is reportedly artist and former adult film star Sophie Brussaux, but her identity as the child's mother was not addressed on the album. 

In November 2017, Brussaux shared a photo of herself holding an infant child to Instagram, captioning the snap: "3 weeks post-partum."

In another snap that same week, she revealed the baby's name as Adonis and that he weighed just over 3.6 kilograms at birth.

The long-awaited Scorpion clocks in at 25 tracks, 12 on side A and 13 on side B, and features guest appearances by Jay-Z ('Talk Up'), Static Major and Ty Dolla Sign ('After Dark') and a previously unreleased vocal by Michael Jackson, which leads the hook to the song 'Don't Matter to Me.'

Credited elsewhere on the album are Nicki Minaj, Future and Paul Anka, the 76-year-old crooner known for classics like 'Puppy Love' and 'Put Your Head on My Shoulder' and a longtime collaborator of Jackson's.

Within an hour of its release, Scorpion shot up to No. 1 on the iTunes chart and on Apple Music. Spotify users, however, had to wait more than three hours until it was available on the streaming service.
