Australian TV legend Diana Fisher dead at 91 after two-year battle with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma
Australian TV legend Diana Fisher has died after a two-year battle with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. She was 91.
It has been confirmed that she passed on the evening of Thursday, January 26, after being admitted to St Vincent's Private Hospital in Sydney three days prior.

Friends and loved ones have said that she was vibrant and cheerful even until her final moments.
"She was at our home for Christmas and was rousing on my husband for not giving her enough baked potatoes," long-time friend Sally Evans said, via the Sydney Morning Herald.
"She was still full of life, just as people would remember her."
Ros Reines added: "Bubbles was the essential influencer who once tried to fortify a group of use with one of her omelettes. Bubbles and I also played for the Bollinger Belles cricket team."

Fisher was nicknamed 'Bubbles' for her warm personality and love of champagne, a fact that greatly endeared her to the Australian public.

Born in London, UK, Fisher moved to Australia in 1964 with her husband, Humphrey, who was a TV producer and had been posted to Sydney by the BBC.
The couple had met while she was working there too and were wed by his father, the Archbishop of Canterbury, who also officiated the marriage between Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip in 1947.

Fisher went on to develop a keen interest in the royal family, covering members of the British monarchy for media outlets around the world for decades.
"I've had the great pleasure of meeting many royals. The Queen is so charming," she told Woman's Day in 2022.

Fisher also starred in the original Heartbreak High series, but was best known for her role as agony aunt on TV series Beauty and the Beast.
She even served as a panelist on The Inventors for 12 years, from 1970 to 1982.
