Denise Richards opens up on 'strained' relationship with daughter with Charlie Sheen: 'It's very difficult'
Denise Richards has admitted her relationship with her teenage daughter with actor Charlie Sheen is "strained" now that she lives out of home.
In October last year, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star and Sheen's daughter Sami, 17, moved into her father's house after calling the atmosphere at home with her mother "abusive" and a "hell house" in a viral TikTok video.
At the time, Richards told People magazine she was "saddened" by her daughter's claim, confirming she simply "set normal rules that any parent would be setting". In a new interview, she tells People their relationship is still quite difficult.

The actress said she'd "love" for her daughter to live with her, but that things weren't proving that way at the moment.

"I think it's very difficult raising teenagers now and especially in Los Angeles when there's access to everything...There are certain rules and I enforce them. And [at Sheen's], there's different rules at that house and that's okay."
Richards says she doesn't agree with everything Sheen does as a parent. Instagram
Richards lives with husband Aaron Phyphers, and reportedly tries to endorse certain rules and expectations in their home. She revealed her 17-year-old is not currently in high school and that she does not "agree with certain things" her ex-husband does.
In the since-deleted TikTok, Sami shared a photo of her looking upset, writing: "1 year ago today: trapped in an abusive household, hated myself, would go days without eating or sleeping, insanely depressed, hated school, etc…"
Sami called her home with her mother a "hell hole" and claimed she felt "trapped". TikTok
