Dax Shepard lovingly trolls wife Kristen Bell following cheating allegations

Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell are going strong after he denied allegations that he had an affair with another woman years ago.

The 43-year-old podcast host and actor shared a playful and heartwarming tribute to his wife of five years to Instagram December 17 (December 18 AEST). In the blurry selfie, Shepard appears pensive as The Good Place star, 38, bundled in a puffy coat, stands in the background.

"That bipedal sleeping bag over my left shoulder is the reason to wake up every morning," he captioned the pic.

On her own page, Bell shared a selfie of her and her husband sharing a sweet kiss during date night, appearing to put naysayers to rest.

"Warning: the @laarboretum moonlight forest light show is VURY romantic," she wrote of the pic.

The couple began dating in 2007. They became engaged in 2010 and wed in a low-key ceremony at the Beverly Hills Clerk's Office in 2013. They share daughters Delta, 3, and Lincoln, 5.

Last week, Shepard denied claims made by Kayti Edwards, 41 --  the granddaughter of Julie Andrews' late husband, Blake Edwards -- that they shared a "passionate night" in 2009, while Shepard and Bell were dating. Daily Mail published photos Shepard kissing Edwards suggestively.

"Hey Daily Mail, that photo is 13 years old, not 9," Shepard captioned a screenshot of the article.

"Also, Kayti has sold stories to tabloids about Matthew Perry, Jack Osbourne, Kid Rock, and now me. I look forward to her next one. Fingers crossed it's about my #1, Brad Pitt :)."
