Courtney Love and Alex Perry’s bust-up over 'split seam' dress

Uh oh, mix two super egos with no edit button and it’s going to explode into a messy war of words.

Well, at least that’s what happened when Courtney Love laid into Alex Perry over one of his dresses he’d gifted her.

The 50-year-old rocker posted on Facebook: “Will you tell Alex Pr that the dress made the press line pretty flawlessly but that by the bend down cast shot, it split a seam and another and another and literally started molting.”

What we think Courtney is trying to say is that the black leather dress ripped to shreds as she was wearing it.

It’s no surprise that Aussie designer Alex, favoured by a string A Listers both here and in the States, was “disappointed” by the comments.

“And to be honest I don’t believe it, the dress looks flawless on the red carpet, as does her hair (which she also takes a swipe at) and what transpired between then and the time that the dress allegedly disintegrated is no one’s business,” he told Sydney Confidential.

“It was the same dress that Kylie Jenner wore in white leather some months earlier, one of the best-¬selling styles worldwide for the season ... Not one complaint. Note to self ... No more gifting to CL.”

Well, he has a point. Ungrateful much, Court?

It comes as Perry recently dressed Courtney during her Australia tour, even gushing about the singer on Instagram.

Perry told his 95,000 followers: “I think I’m in love!!! best fitting ever!”

He also said at the time: “The past year I have had some incredible new highlights and Courtney was one of them.

“Courtney was an absolute dream to work with. She was very funny and she really is the original rock chick.”
