Courteney Cox says her late Friends co-star Matthew Perry still 'visits' her

Courteney Cox has revealed that her former Friends co-star, the late Matthew Perry, still "visits" her often. 

"I'm just grateful that I had that opportunity to work with such wonderful people and to live the life that I have now," she told CBS News of the Friends cast.

"That was my family. I mean, we went through everything. Those ten years were everything – they're my family."

Matthew Perry, who played Chandler Bing, died last year at the age of 54.

"I think he's probably one of the funniest human beings in the world. You know, he's just so funny. He is genuinely a huge heart, obviously struggled. I'm so thankful I got to work so closely with him for so many years. He visits me a lot, if we believe in that."

The interviewer asked her: "I know you're a spiritual person, which makes that statement very interesting, so, you still feel his presence?"

"Oh yeah. You know, I talk to my mom, my dad, Matthew – I feel like there are a lotta people that are, I think, that guide us," Cox explained. "I do sense, yeah, I sense Matthew's around for sure."

After Perry's death was announced, Cox took to Instagram to share a touching tribute in his honour. 

"I am so grateful for every moment I had with you Matty and I miss you every day," Cox wrote.

"When you work with someone as closely as I did with Matthew, there are thousands of moments I wish I could share. For now here's one of my favourites."

"To give a little backstory, Chandler and Monica were supposed to have a one night fling in London. But because of the audience's reaction, it became the beginning of their love story.

In this scene, before we started rolling, he whispered a funny line for me to say."

Cox's post concluded: "He often did things like that. He was funny and he was kind. 🤍🕊️"
