Actress Christina Ricci has reportedly been granted an emergency protective order against her husband, James Heerdegen.

According to Us Weekly, the order was issued after police were called to Ricci's LA home on the morning of June 25. Although Heerdegen nor Ricci were not arrested at the scene, the film producer has since allegedly been ordered to stay away from the 40-year-old actress.

"On 06/25/20, around 9.20 a.m., officers responded to a domestic battery radio call," a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to the outlet.

The Addams Family star married Heerdegen in 2013 after meeting on the set of the now-cancelled series Pan Am in 2011.

They exchanged vows in a private ceremony at the historic Harold Pratt House and Peterson Hall in New York.

"I think the latest developments in my life have grounded me. My agent has been with me since I was 10 years old and she's a brilliant, grounded woman, so she's responsible for that element. But also really, it was getting married and having a child," she said at the time.

"I didn't realise how much growing up I had to do and how much better I could be. And my marriage and my kid have really made me better."
