Christian Wilkins reveals negative coronoavirus test results

Christian Wilkins has taken to Instagram to announce his coronavirus test results.

"That NEGATIVE COVOID-19 test feeling!" he rejoiced with a picture to match the mood.

The media personality was forced to get tested after his dad, Weekend Today co-host Richard Wilkins tested positive.

"YAAAAAAAYYYYYY!!! WooHoo ... best news ever!!!!! So happy for you both," his dad wrote, commenting on his post, adding the hash-tags "relief" and "crying again".

"Now get back to rehearsals!!" Richard added with a bunch of kisses.

For Christian, the negative result means he'll be able to cha-cha-cha on in this week's episode of Dancing With The Stars, keeping his hopes alive to take home the mirrorball trophy.

"@lilycornish and I will see you Sunday night," he confirmed in his post.

Richard, 65, was swabbed after coming into contact with actress and singer Rita Wilson, who was hospitalised with the condition alongside husband Tom Hanks.

Both Hollywood superstars have been treated and released from a Gold Coast hospital now.

Meanwhile, Richard has been in self-isolation but has been regularly sharing updates with fans on social media and Skyping into the show.
