Chris Hemsworth reportedly shuts down production company after just four years
Chris Hemsworth has reportedly closed his production company Wild State, behind hit films Extraction 2 and Crime 101, after just four years.
The Aussie A-lister, 43, who has estimated net worth of up to US$130 million ($185 million), has shuttered Wild State according to multiple outlets, with the company’s website now offline.

The decision comes after what’s been a “fraught few months” according to sources from Page Six, citing speculation over internal conflict or conflict with Hemsworth’s busy filming schedule.
The official website for the company no longer works, leaving visitors with an “expired” blank page.
It’s believed employees will be paid through to the end of 2026. However, no official statement or confirmation has been released.
An insider has told the outlet that Hemsworth’s decision comes from a “life choice” and the Thor actor is proud of what the company has achieved.
Nine.com.au have contacted Wild State productions for comment.
The company, co-founded by Hemsworth and producer Ben Grayson in 2022, held a deal with National Geographic for unscripted projects and Disney+ Originals.
This included three-seasons of hit docuseries Limitless, which featured wife Elsa Pataky, and brothers Liam and Luke Hemsworth.
Following its launch, Wild State went into a strategic partnership with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon’s production company Artists Equity in late 2023.
It’s been reported the partnership has now too expired and was not renewed.
Wild State is one of the production companies behind Hemsworth’s latest movie Extraction 3, being filmed in NSW. Hemsworth and Grayson are credited as producers on the film.

The news comes after the Marvel star unveiled yet another surprising career move in August 2026, signing on as co-owner of Australian whiskey brand Archie Rose.
The Hollywood star bought an undisclosed stake in Australia’s most awarded distillery, and will help push the product into the US.

The brand added that they are “beyond proud and excited” to welcome Hemsworth as a co-owner of the distillery and whisky brand, with three whiskies made in collaboration with Hemsworth expected to be released.
Reprising his role as God of Thunder Thor, Hemsworth will reportedly pull in an estimated $56.9 million from the two Avengers films being released over the next few years.
