Carla Bonner quits Neighbours

Stephanie Scully is leaving Ramsay Street.

TV Tonight reports that actress Carla Bonner is leaving Neighbours after 11 years — but she won't be killed off, leaving the door open for a possible comeback.

In the last 11 years Steph has fallen in love with her best friend's husband, had her fiance stolen by her younger sister, been in a motorbike accident, battled breast cancer, been accused by her mother of suffocating her grandfather, been accused by her neighbours of causing a fatal car crash, got married, got divorced, had a baby, got engaged to Toadie, then got engaged to Toadie again after sleeping with her best friend's boyfriend and falling pregnant to him. Jeez, dramatic.

Steph will stick around until the end of 2010.
