Rapper Cardi B fangirls over Twilight star Robert Pattinson: 'I felt like a teen'

Cardi B continues to fangirl over Hollywood's biggest celebrities.

A star in her own right, the rapper couldn't help but gush after her recent encounter with actor Robert Pattinson at a party honouring British Vogue editor-in-chief Edward Enninful in Beverly Hills, which attracted a host of stars such as Salma Hayek, Cindy Crawford, Katy Perry and her fiancé Orlando Bloom.

But Cardi only had eyes for the 35-year-old Twilight star.

"Look who I met the other day! I felt like a teen!" the 29-year-old wrote on Twitter, where she shared a video of their meeting. 

"Come on. Look at my friend, guys," she added as Pattinson leaned into the frame and stuck his tongue out. 

This isn't the first time Cardi — real name Belcalis Almánzar — has struck up an unlikely friendship with a Hollywood actor. Last month, she was stoked when she discovered Penn Badgley knew who she was.

It all began with a resurfaced interview clip of Badgley admiring celebrities who have a strong social media presence.

"I really appreciate people who have this sort of totally second nature relationship with [social media]," he told MYX Global in 2019. "Cardi B is a great example of that. She has such an authentic relationship. To me, it is this incredibly nuanced place to be. Despite what many might judge as antics and all this, I feel like she has an incredible relationship... and that's why people like her so much."

Cardi was elated when the clip was brought to her attention.

"OOOOMMFFFGGGGGG HE KNOWS ME!!!! OMMMGGGG!!!!!! Yoooo like I'm famous famous," she tweeted on October 20. 

Then, just last week, Cardi received a gift from Badgley's murderous character Joe Goldberg from his hit Netflix show You.

"Hello, you… My stalking and killing may make me a certified freak, seven days a week, but it also brought me to… you," the message read, which referenced lyrics from Cardi's controversial song 'WAP'.

"Cardi B, you have a way with social media. You're meaningful. Substantive. I just like you," the message continued. "Can't wait to see you slaying in this hat. But I certainly hope you don't disappear."
