Aussie radio host Brittany Hockley’s ‘blunt’ response to constant family question

Aussie radio host and podcaster Brittany Hockley has shared an honest statement about her experience with infertility.

The Life Uncut host, 38, who is married to Swiss professional football player Benjamin Siegrist, took to social media to share her candid feelings when people ask why she doesn’t have kids yet.

“It’s not for lack of trying trust me. No harm is ever meant when people ask, I know that. And my answer might sound blunt. But we haven’t been able to fall pregnant. This is just the truth of it,” Hockley began a lengthy post.

“Anyone that struggles with infertility knows, it consumes your life and your thoughts. Because I also wonder when and if we will have kids. It truly is exhausting.”

Hockley shared a montage of videos of her and husband Siegrist travelling the world.

Over the video, she wrote: “I’m 38. Married. I travel the world. No kids. Every day I get asked why I don’t have kids or when I am having them. That I am missing out. To that, I say I can’t fall pregnant. I hope that answers your questions.”

She penned a heartfelt message to others who were struggling with pregnancy, loss or infertility.

“I hope you’re still able to enjoy life while you’re in the thick of it because it’s easy to let it completely take over.

“But it would be a shame to miss life’s beautiful moments that are still happening. Because life is still happening, and we get just one.”

Hockley concluded her post by saying she hoped she and Siegrist were able to have kids but until then, they would continue travelling and enjoying life.

“Hey, trying in different tropical locations isn’t the worst,” she signed off jokingly.

Hockley and husband Siegrist tied the knot in a lavish wedding in Bali in June 2025.

Until recently, they had been doing long distance for years and have never lived together due to their work commitments.

In December 2025, she announced the pair would be moving to Italy to live together.

“I’m moving to Italy! Ben is beside himself, excited,” she said in a clip from her Life Uncut Podcast.

“I’m really looking forward to the boring stuff, watching TV together, going for a walk together.

“These last six months since we’ve got married has been really tough, as we wanted to be together more than ever because we’re newly married, and it’s been the longest we’ve been apart.”

The pair also purchased a luxury Gold Coast property known as Casa Palma together.
