Cara Delevingne has made a bit of a faux pas, leaving one interviewer red-faced.

The model attended the British Grand Prix over the weekend, and was caught on camera refusing an interview with the legendary Martin Brundle. The Brit has made a name for himself for his iconic pre-race grid walks, where he chats with celebrities on the track.

"Everybody talks on the grid," he tried to explain to Delevingne and her handler, while she continued refusing to speak.

He persevered, telling her: "Can we have a quick chat? Sky F1. The deal is everybody has to speak."

She simply shook her head, saying she wasn't able to hear anything.

Brundle eventually gave up, but threw in a sneaky barb as he walked away, muttering: "I'm sure it would have been extremely interesting."

Fans were quick to absolutely roast Delevingne for her ignorant snub of Brundle, flocking to Twitter and Instagram to share their disapproval.

"BOOO YOUU," one person tweeted. "If you're on the grid you talk to Martin Brundle that's it."

"Don't come to F1 if you don't care about the sport and think you're good enough to reject Martin Brundle," another person commented on one of the model's Instagram posts.

One person simply stated: "Who do you think you are?!"

She reposted a tweet saying that "Martin Brundle is just doing it to manufacture the moment for the controversy of it all."

"You can clearly see the PR rep tell him "no" and shake his head when he goes up towards Cara Delevingne," the tweet continues. "He had an out and he chose not to take it to make a statement."

Cara added: "Thank you for seeing both sides xxx."
