Braith Anasta reveals how Jodi Gordon reacted when he called her ring 'a bad investment'

Oh, Braith Anasta.

Remember when he appeared on The Kyle and Jackie O Show in March and called the engagement ring he purchased for ex-wife Jodi Gordon "a bad investment"?

"She probably hocked it," he said March 30, confirming he didn't get the pear-shaped diamond bauble back. "She's probably bought a few bags with it, handbags."

Well, in a return appearance to the radio show May 4, Braith confirmed the comments – surprise, surprise – didn't go over well with the 32-year-old actress.

"Pillar to post," the former rugby star, 35, said. "It went down like a lead balloon that one."

Kyle Sandilands then asked if Jodi called him afterward.

"Oh yeah," groaned Braith. "It wasn't the best."

After Braith's initial comments in March, Jodi took to Instagram to share a motivational meme quoting Michelle Obama: "When someone is cruel or acts like a bully, you don't stoop to their level. No, our motto is, when they go low, we go high."

She captioned the post, "#shinebrightlikeadiamond."

Braith and Jodi divorced in 2015 after three years of marriage, and they share three-year-old daughter Aleeia.

Since their split, Braith has struck up a serious relationship with 30-year-old personal trainer Rachael Lee.

While Braith admits he and Rachael have had "a couple little" fights over "little things", he says it's mostly smooth sailing.

"You always learn, don't you," he told Kyle and Jackie O. "You always learn from past relationships."
